Our Story
From the road, for the road.
We are Darren and Vikki — full-time vanlifers who got tired of juggling a dozen apps and spreadsheets to manage life on the road. Tracking expenses across borders, logging wild camping spots, staying on top of Schengen days, and remembering when the oil was last changed shouldn't be a chore. So we built something better.
Scratching our own itch.
Vanlife Assistant was built to solve our own problems first. We wanted an app that worked completely offline, kept our data private and secure on our own device, and was designed specifically for serious nomads — not just weekend road-trippers. Everything in the app exists because we needed it ourselves.

Darren brings a background in GIS and large-scale spatial data — previously building commercial flight simulation scenery products with some of the most detailed terrain datasets ever created for that platform. That same obsession with technical precision and getting the details right is baked into every corner of Vanlife Assistant.
